Description

- F1 will give and go with coach while skating up the boards - D1 times his backward skating, pivots and makes a play for the puck (poke check or tie up on boards) - If F1 beats D1 he goes in for a shot - Same thing happening on the other side

- D Recognize when to back up. - D Make good Pivot - Forward go Straight up boards

Notes

Really stress D-timing and making a play on the forward in the neutral zone. Make sure forward stays on the boards to give the D the feel of pivoting and angling him. D's backward skating isn't quite as fast as forwards skating at the Novice level.
